Welcome to Avanco Resources Ltd.
Avanco is a Brazilian focused company listed in December 2007 on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX codes AVB and AVBO).
In early 2008 Avanco commenced exploration of the Carajas Copper Project on the Rio Verde Property in northern Brazil, drill results soon confirmed the discovery of a significant copper oxide deposit at the Antas South target. In August an exceptionally high grade copper zone was intersected at the Antas South Deposit. The Company published a maiden JORC compliant resource in January 2009.
Leveraging from its management’s strong in-country knowledge and technical expertise, Avanco’s objective is to develop a pipeline of copper projects at Rio Verde.
The Carajas region is by virtue of the known mines and recent discoveries, regarded as one of the most prospective mineral provinces in the world for the discovery of copper-gold ores. The Company has four Carajas exploration properties and is actively seeking to increase its presence in the region.
Avanco’s vision is to build a successful copper mining company through, exploration acquisition and development of Carajas Copper Projects.
